Dr. Watson or MCI Error Patch
For All Day-Savor Version 3 Titles
This page is designed for Users experiencing a Dr. Watson or MCI error when the Day-Savor Main Program tries to start. It is a good idea to print out these instructions for reference on using the DaySavorPatch for this issue.
The following downloadable "patch" will fix your situation no matter which Day-Savor Screen-A-Day-Calendar TITLE you have.
This error is caused by a sound conflict between the Day-Savor and your operating system (i.e., Windows NT or 2000). This patch will disable the sound features of the Day-Savor software only — your computer and the rest of your programs will remain unchanged. It is very important that you don't re-enable them in the future on the Program Options window, Enable Sound check box. By re-checking this box and enabling your sound features, you will likely encounter the same error(s) all over again.
You have two (2) choices of which file to download.
A. DaySavorPatch.ZIP If you understand how to work with zipped (compressed) files, this is the best choice. This Zip file contains the patch and is 189k. If you choose this option, go to item 1A in the directions below. If you do not have a decompression utility to extract the DaySavorPatch from the zipped file, you can obtain a free evaluation of WinZip by clicking the following link: http://www.WinZip.com
B. DaySavorPatch.EXE If you don't know how to unzip (uncompress) a zipped file, you can download the patch as is. This file is 361k. If you choose this option, go to item 1B in the directions below.
